Twin Oaks Campground & Lodging

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness" - Mark Twain

Twin Oaks Campground & Lodging
offers a scenic relaxing camping experience
in the Heart of North Carolina
for men and women over 18.

Under new management in 2008.
Open 7 days per week March 1 thru December 1.

Twin Oaks offers campers over 18 a unique camping experience. Escape from work, kids, neighbors, the city, etc. Twin Oaks makes a great home for us and we hope a great home away for you. We have 26.6 acres of scenic forest convenient to many of North Carolina's great attractions. Just minutes from the Haw River, Jordan Lake, NC Zoological Park, large metro areas, rural attractions like farm tours, antique shops, historic sites, wineries, pottery shops, and other activities are abundant. Or just enjoy the private relaxing escape we call home.
Our 6 RV sites(3 pull thru,3 pull/back in) all have 50,30, & 20 amp service, water, and access to dump station. 2 RV sites have septic on site. Our tent sites range from rustic to landscaped, most with picnic table, fire ring, and some with hammocks. Construction on a pond for swimming, fishing, and canoeing was completed in August '06 and is slowly filling due to drought of '07. We have large sunny areas and shady ones too. Walking trails wind thru mature lush forest. Wildlife can be seen while strolling through the shade. Feeding areas are provided for wildlife. Our new septic system, RV dump stations, and 1200sf coed bathroom/laundry/picnic pavillion were completed in July 2006. Improvements are moving along quickly with new RV sites under construction and should be complete by summer '08. We have been here since Sept. 7, 2001 and are regularly updating and improving this property for all to enjoy. We look forward to your visit.
Why 18 and over? The owners have no children, by choice, and felt our guests may enjoy a more relaxing peaceful environment free of children. After all there are already so many other places that cater just to them. We felt adults deserve our own place to get away also. Of course, don't get the wrong impression, adult only does not mean or imply lude public behavior, nor will it be tolerated. If the phrase "get a room" can be applied to your situation then do just that. Use your room, tent, or RV and have a lovely time, but please respect your fellow campers. Lewd is rude and not tolerated. We want to provide a camping experience where everyone can feel comfortable, safe, and can enjoy an escape from the demands of their daily lives.
